After Sridevi rejected the movie, it was played by Ramya Krishnan. The performance of this Southern actress was lauded. As the Queen Mother of the Kingdom Mahishmati, Sivagami had more power in her hands than one could imagine. She raised Amrendra Baahubali and Bhallala Deba to be the greatest warriors who ever lived. Sivagami also was not partial and loved her niece Amrendra Baahubali as her son.
