Such is the stardom of Salman Khan that almost every tiny detail about him makes it to headlines. Leave the current year or the next year, Salman Khan has locked a release date for 2019 as well. Salman Khan’s Kick 2 will hit screens in Christmas 2019. Reliable sources have revealed Salman Khan has taken over the Christmas release date, something which was restricted to Aamir Khan till now.
Kick was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and it is rumoured the filmmaker is working on the story of the sequel. It is being reported that Salman will hear the narration somewhere around next month. The first movie Kick told the story of Salman Khan’s character Devi who became a cop at the end of the movie. In Kick, Salman Khan was cast opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and the movie also featured Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. The sequel of the movie is expected to pick up the story from where the first one left.
A Christmas release in 2019 means that Salman Khan has taken over Aamir Khan’s pet holiday. Just like Eid is fixed for Salman’s movie, likewise, Christmas mostly sees the release of Aamir’s films. Aamir’s last Christmas release performed exceptionally well at the Box Office. The sports drama is minting a lot of money in China as well and has earned over Rs 1000 crore in the neighbouring country.
As of now, there are no releases lined up for Christmas. After learning that Salman Khan has a release then, it is unlikely that any other filmmaker will go for a clash against him.
Salman Khan is currently busy with promotions of his upcoming movie Tubelight. In this Kabir Khan directorial, he plays the role of a slow-minded person who goes on a journey to find his brother. Slated for a release on 23 June, the movie has created quite the buzz.
