Sonam Kapoor, Dulquer Salmaan To Feature In Adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's The Zoya Factor

The movie will release in April 2019

Author Anuja Chauhan’s best-selling book, The Zoya Factor (2008) is all set for a screen adaptation. And the cast of the movie has been zeroed-in. The Zoya Factor’s screen-version would star Sonam Kapoor and Malayalam superstar, Dulquer Salmaan. Sonam Kapoor shared a picture from their first photoshoot:

While the shooting of the film is yet to start, the tentative release date of the movie has been decided as April 5, 2019. The film will be directed by Abhishek Sharma, of the Tere Bin Laden-fame, and produced by Fox Studios and Adlabs Films. The author who’s penning the script for the movie is equally excited and shared her happiness with a tweet:

The Zoya Factor is a story about Zoya Singh Solanki, a Rajput girl, who gets a job as a advertising executive of the Indian cricket team. With time, the team starts considering her as their lucky mascot, unlike the captain of the team, Nikhil Khoda, who doesn’t believe in luck. While Sonam would play Zoya, Dulquer would be portraying the character of Nikhil and Twitter is definitely thrilled, not only to see the two stars paired opposite each other, but also for the on-screen adaptation of the book:

This would be Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan’s first Bollywood movie. Salmaan has featured in movies like Ustad Hotel (2012), Bangalore Days (2015), OK Kanmani (2015), Kammatti Paadam (2016) and Parava (2017). Sonam Kapoor was recently seen in PadMan and would be seen in Balaji Motion Pictures’ much-anticipated Veere Di Wedding, scheduled for release in June.
