Raees Box Office collection day 11: Shah Rukh Khan's film continues its dream run

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees is still attracting cine goers to theatres. This only proves that the stardom of King Khan is unquestionable

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees is showing no signs of stopping at the Box Office. The movie released on 25 January and on the second Saturday after the D-Day, that was yesterday, the film earned more than Rs 4 crore. The grand total of the film now is Rs 137.96 crore. Considering that the film released 11 days ago, the numbers on Saturday seem decent enough.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, the film starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan along with SRK in pivotal roles. After the success of Raees, a press conference was which Mahira attended through a video call. The Pakistani actress couldn’t be apart of the promotions because of her nationality.

At the press interaction, Mahira spoke about how it was working with King Khan. Mahira confessed that she feared due to SRK’s stardom no one would notice her in the film. But her fears went south when Mahira’s role was appreciated as well.

Mahira said she was extremely excited to work with Shah Rukh as the actress has grown up watching his movies.

I grew up watching his films. When I arrived in Mumbai, I thought at least my duppata would fly, Shah Rukh would come running towards me. But nothing happened.

To this, Shah Rukh replied:

Now you are telling everyone in a way what is my age. And We did have the ‘duppata sequence’ in Gujarat. The budget wasn’t more for this film, so we did not go to Switzerland.

Mahira also explained that it was really difficult for her to dance to songs.

I had to buck it up, rehearse it and choreographers helped me a lot
