Rahul Dholakia, who shot to stardom with his movies like Parazania and Lamhaa, went beyond his set path when he brought superstar Shah Rukh Khan on-board for his film Raees. While his previous films were centered on socio-political issues that affected life deeply in their respective states of Gujarat and Kashmir, Raees took a different path. The SRK starrer shows the story of unashamed gangster who takes on the illegal business of bootlegging.

The film hits the screen today after a lot of anticipation and audience are in awe of it. The first viewers of the film took to Twitter to share what they felt while seeing the film. And they all good things to say.

Shah Rukh Khan as the devious gangster who wears kohl in his eyes impressed all. Similarly, Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the local policeman Majmudar, is reported to give one of the best performances of his career. Their confrontation scenes in Raees, said some, were the best part of the movie.
