Few heroes don’t make it to the history books and are forgotten. The upcoming movie Raag Desh is all set to tell everyone about those heroes only. The film features Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Mohit Marwah in key roles. The film is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The actors play the role of army officers of the Indian National Army led by Subhash Chandra Bose and how they fought with the British for freedom of India.

The trailer of the movie is enough to make you feel patriotic. It will serve as a reminder of all the sacrifices of the unsung heroes for the independence. Inspired by true events, the trailer of Raag Desh starts with a court trail. In this trial, three army officers of Indian origin. Shah Nawaz Khan, Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon and Prem Sahgal was tried in court in 1945 of waging war against the King. Not only this, Dhillon was accused of abatement of murder against his colleagues Khan and Sahgal. The Britishers wished to silence the voices of these three brave hearts when they demanded freedom, but could not do it. Instead, these three officers united the entire nation and the call for independence gained momentum. Dhillon, Khan and Sahgal were defended by a committee set up by Indian National Congress. The famous trial took place at the Red Fort.

According to Tigmanshu Dhulia, Raag Desh talks about the contribution of Subhash Chandra Bose in the freedom struggle. He told an agency, “Being a student of history, it was fascinating for me to know that we did not get our freedom by dialogue and negotiation that we have been reading for so long… It’s not.” He added he had no political agenda behind this movie and just wished to tell the story to the people.

The trailer of the movie set a new precedent as it released in the Rajya Sabha. Raag Desh will release on July 28.
