Sanjay Dutt will play a gangster’s role in the third instalment of Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. The film will go on the floor from August. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill and Mahie Gill who reprise their roles from the previous two instalments.
Prior to Dutt, Randeep Hooda and Irrfan Khan had essayed the role of a gangster in the first and second part respectively. In his three-decade-long film career, the Munnabhai MBBS actor has played an antagonist in Khalnayak, Musafir, Agneepath and Son of Sardaar.
Trade analyst shared a picture of Sanjay Dutt with Tigmanshu Dhulia with a caption:”Sanjay Dutt to star as the gangster in #SahebBiwiAurGangster3… Raju Chadha [Wave Group] presents the film… Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia… ” The film has been produced by Rahul Mittra and Tigmanshu Dhulia.
Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster was released in 2011 that earned immense critical acclaim, earning Dhulia a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Screenplay. Its 2013 sequel Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns was also critically successful.

Sanjay Dutt will be seen in Omung Kumar’s film Bhoomi that will release on September 22. It has the veteran actor sharing screen space with Aditi Rao Hyadri and Sidhant Gupta. He was last seen in Aamir Khan-starrer PK that released in 2o14. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial is one of the highest grossing Indian movies abroad.
