Lag Jaa Gale from Bhoomi is not the rehashed version of Lata Mangeshkar's classic and that's the best part

Starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Sidhant Gupta the first romantic number of Bhoomi titled Lag Jaa Gale has been released. It is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

The first romantic number of Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming movie Bhoomi has been released. It is called Lag Jaa Gale and is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. For all those who are thinking this number is yet another rehashed version of a popular classic song, you are mistaken. This is a new song altogether and apart from the words Lag Jaa Gale nothing is same between these numbers.

Till now whatever has been released if Bhoomi features blood and violence, but this song is a change. After the violence and hatred shown in the trailer, this song focuses on the romantic life of Aditi Rao Hydari. In the video Sidhant Gupta and Aditi, the lovers of the film, can be seen romancing. Their chemistry is palpable and it is a treat to watch. The voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan adds to the melody. It has been shot extensively in the picturesque locales around the Taj Mahal in Agra.

Aditi Rao Hydari is someone who has garnered a lot of attention in the trailer of Bhoomi. As the daughter of Sanjay Dutt in the film. she gave a striking performance. This is her first film with Sanjay Dutt and she did not in any way let the actor overpower her.

Apart from that, Sanjay Dutt has crooned Ganesh Aarti in the film. Talking about directing him, music composers Sachin- Jigar had said, “Sanjay Dutt is an all-rounder. He can sing, act and dance effortlessly at the same time. He is a multitasking rock star for us. He has sung a few Sanskrit shlokas and took precisely 60 minutes in the studio to deliver his part with no prior training.”

In Bhoomi, an emotional vigilante drama, Sanjay plays a father in the film who will do anything to save his daughter, Bhoomi.  The film is slated to release on September 22.
