If you loved Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar’s terrifically (annoying) camaraderie in Main Khiladi Tu Anari, here’s a little happy news. The stars, after nine whole years, are set to unite. Wait! They are not coming together for a film. Reports have it that Saif is reuniting with Akshay on the latter’s upcoming comedy show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. In the show, the Rustom star will be seen sharing the stage with comedians like Zakir Khan, Malika Dua and writer Hussain Dalal. While Akshay will play the role of a boss, the upcoming episode will see Saif as a celebrity guest in the first episode.
A source close to the show revealed that the duo will not only be seen sharing the stage together but also expected to recreate their Main Khiladi Tu Anari magic. Wow, that’s going to be something! Sharing deets about the episode, a source was quoted as saying:
Tech rehearsals kick off on Wednesday while the episode featuring the duo will be shot on Thursday. The idea is to recreate fun moments from their films, especially the 1990s potboilers. They are expected to shake a leg to the title track of Main Khiladi Tu Anari and share anecdotes from other films.
On the work front, while Akshay is busy shooting for his next Gold, Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for the release of Chef. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, Chef will release on October 6.
