This Anurag Basu directorial has been in news for a really long time and after releasing few songs and a teaser, the trailer was unveiled today, June 29. The trailer will win your heart with the beautiful visuals and it hints the movie will be a treat to the eyes.
For quite long now, the story of Jagga Jasoos has been in news. Ranbir plays someone who refuses to believe his father is dead and sets on a journey to find him. The over two-minute- long clip tells how he embarks on this journey and other things about Ranbir’s character. For example, Ranbir finds it easier to convey what is on his mind through a song because his stammering problem hinders a normal conversation. The trailer also reveals Katrina Kaif is the only person who understands Ranbir’s restlessness to the find his father. The trailer also gives a glimpse of Ranbir’s character’s childhood. The little boy felt cheated when his father promised he would return after a said time but never showed up. While Ranbir and Katrina do little to light up the trailer, Saurabh Shukla takes the cake with his acting.

A few weeks ago it was reported that Jagga Jasoos will have 29 songs. The reason for this can now be understood since Ranbir talks only in songs in this movie.
Expectations from this movie are definitely high given the time invested in this project. The movie’s shooting began around three years ago. However, the completion took more time than anticipated and a lot happened in the lives of the lead actors – Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, during the duration. The actors who were dating in real life called it quits and rumours started it would affect the movie. But being the professional stars that they are, Ranbir and Katrina kept their personal life aside and completed the movie.
Jointly produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos, will release on July 14.
