Wonder Woman trailer: Diana Prince explores her true potential in origins story

Gal Gadot starrer Wonder Woman has dropped a new trailer at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and it explores the origins story of Diana in Themyscira.

The Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman has just dropped a new trailer at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Trailer of the film, which seems like a glorious addition to the DC Cinematic Universe, explores the life of Princess Diana while she grew up in Themyscira, oblivious to her true potential.

The latest trailer jumped right into the life of a young Diana Prince, still in training. Hippolyta, played by Robin Wright, insists on her to be trained harder than any Amazon before. Now, why must that be? Well, apparently, unlike the other Amazons, Wonder Woman was not a clay statue brought to life but the true daughter of Greek God Zeus, a fact she is unaware of.

A young Diana sets her eyes on the God-killer sword.

The new trailer reveals glimpses of Diana’s unyielding character as she is willing to go to lengths to end the wrath of Ares, the God of War. “If no one else will defend the world, then I must,” says Diana. Thereupon, she leaves her lush green home in Themyscira behind to join Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) on a journey to “hideous” London.

The new trailer is a little light on action but it is still enough.

While the new trailer is a little light on action (there’s still a lot), it did help weave a probable plot of the film and we might finally know what the film holds. In the trailer, Wonder Woman says, “I am Diana of Themyscira, daughter of Hippolyta. In the name of all that is good, your wrath upon this world is over.” Meaning that Diana will finally find the way to kill a God, and if rumours are to be true, it is not the God-killer sword which will save her life. Can you guess what it will be?
