The title war between Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar for Jab Harry Met Sejal doesn’t seem to end. The Jagga Jasoos star, who got his share of Rs 5000 for suggesting the title of SRK and Anushka Sharma’s next movie, has refused to share it with anyone or to be specific, with Karan Johar.
In an interview given to leading daily, Ranbir revealed that he won’t share his prize money with anyone. He said “I got Rs 6,000 – it’s something I value. I don’t think I’ll spend it. I’ll probably give this to my grandchildren saying ‘I got this from Shah Rukh Khan’.”
It all started when SRK did not agree to give Ranbir the credit for his creativity. But later when he demanded his share for suggesting the title, King Khan cleared his dues with him at Imtiaz Ali’s party. SRK shelled out Rs 1,000 more than the promised reward of Rs 5000 to Ranbir.

Karan Johar is entitled to Rs 1250 from the reward, for supposedly suggesting the ‘Jab’ in the title, but Ranbir is not in a mood to hand over his share to him. Ranbir said, “I think it’s just very unfair that he’s asking for credit here. He just changed ‘when’ to ‘jab’. I don’t think there’s a big contribution to that.”

At the song launch of Galti Se Mistake from his upcoming movie Jagga Jasoos, Ranbir Kapoor said, “I am coming to Mannat (SRK’s residence), keep the Rs 5000 ready in cash! To be honest I was shooting at Mehboob Studio, where Shah Rukh Sir, Imtiaz Ali and Anushka were also shooting. We all were sitting in a van together and discussing various options for the title of the film, and I suggested this title (Jab Harry Met Sejal), everybody laughed at me for the ‘bakwaas’ title I had suggested.”
Ranbir will be next seen in Jagga Jasoos along with Katrina Kaif. The film is slated to release on July 14.
