So an Instagram video of Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli is going viral currently. The video has her shaking a leg as a few of her girl pals can be heard encouraging her in the background. It seems like a regular fun video from a house gathering of friends. What is important though is that how it’s been reported in the media. People have taken to their portals calling the video ‘sexy’ and ‘hot,’ praising how Navya looks to how she dances in it. But, really? Has this Instagram video really got something that special?
Navya keeps on posting such fun videos and photographs from her trips and parties, and we, media, do have a habit of just not leaving her anywhere anyway. In this much viral video, Navya is wearing black tights, a crop top and letting her hair down. She’s looking stunning, but when does she not? The teenage daughter of Shweta Nanda, Mr Bachchan’s daughter, Navya is beautiful and talented. She also makes sure she is not getting bothered about what’s being written about her in the media. In fact, her mother too once talked about the same and said that Navya has no interest in acting or films and she never asked to be a part of this media scrutiny.
Last year, during the release of Pink, senior Bachchan took to his blog to write an emotional letter about daughters. He dedicated it to Aaradhya and Navya. Talking about the same, Big B had said in an interview later, “The letter was emotional. It addressed all daughters and granddaughters and I had such an immediate reaction from my own daughter and granddaughter. I got an immediate reaction from Navya and she said, ‘Nanu, I will exactly follow this’. My daughter said, ‘I have been trying to teach Navya for so many years and just through one letter, you have conveyed what I wanted to for so many years’. That had an immediate impact.”
Navya, Sara Ali Khan, Jhanvi Kapoor have all become part of our jobs it seems. Sometimes it’s because we are too much fond of them and sometimes, because we are just doing our jobs. Watch this video here, though:
