Finally, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has hit the silver screen this Friday, September 1. Featuring the Vicky Donor star as Mudit Sharma, the film narrates his sweet-sour love story as he gets engaged to a girl, Sugandha (Bhumi Pednekar). However due to erectile dysfunction, Mudit can’t perform in bed and on the advice of his friends tries out various quacks treating impotency. Being the quirky romantic-comedy it is, the film also deals with a sensitive subject like impotency.
The film, which marks the second Bollywood outing of the duo, seems to have struck the right cord with the audience. They hyped praise for the film’s plot as well as Bhumi and Ayushmann’s strong screen presence. They have earlier worked in 2015 hit film Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a remake of the tamil movie Kalyana Samayal Saadham which starred Prasanna and Lekha Washington. Directed by Directed by R.S Prasanna, the original film revolved around a big fat South Indin wedding. Apart from Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the duo will next be seen sharing the screen space in Sameer Sharma’s directorial Manmarziyan.
