Shah Rukh Khan tweets about 'Drink Gently', lands with a role in return

Shahrukh Khan has been invited to star guest in season II of American science-fiction series "Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency".

After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone taking their route to Hollywood it seems Bollywood ‘Badashah’ Shah Rukh Khan seems to be taking the same route. Shah Rukh Khan has been invited to star guest in season II of American science-fiction series “Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency”. SRK got the invitation by the show’s executive producer Arvind Ethan David.

The “Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency” is based on Douglas Adams’ novel series which is featured on BBC America. The investigative drama will have 10 episode in second season.

The show features Hollywood stars Samuel Barnett, Elijah Wood, Hannah Marks and Fiona Dourif. Soon Shah Rukh Khan’s name will be an addition among the Hollywood biggies.

It all happened accidentally when Shah Rukh posted a tweet about the drama on Twitter. Who knew…, it would land him a role in the series. SRK posted a picture of himself on Twitter writing, “Dirk Gently is a TV series!! And I didn’t know it! Woe be upon me. Sorry Adams. The pic is for no apparent reason.”

As soon as Arvind Ethan David saw the tweet, he gave an offer to the actor to guest star on the show. David tweeted, “Amazing to discover that @iamsrk is a #dirkgently fan. Come guest star in #Season2.”

In another tweet David wote, “It’s possible I got a bit too excited that #ShahRukhKhan likes #dirkgently — do you think he noticed?”

To which Shah Rukh quickly accepted the invitation and replied, “Let me know the time and place. Will figure out my own accommodation!” And the final reply which came from the other side was even more fascinating “Done and done.”

Accidentally or not another Bollywood superstar got the ticket to Hollywood.
