Randeep Hooda, who will be seen in his next Battle of Saragarhi has taken charge to clean the areas of Mumbai. Randeep has joined hands with lawyer Afroz Shah to clean up the dumps around the mangroves around the Mumbai suburbs. Speaking on the cleanliness issue, the Sarbjit actor said Indian citizens themselves need to keep their city clean instead of blaming the authorities for the same.
“We are always looking to push the blame onto others if the city isn’t clean we are blaming the Prime Minister, but the fact is that we are ourselves making the city dirty. So we need to remedy that,” Randeep said in a statement.
In the past, Randeep has also been a part of former India skipper Kapil Dev’s NGO to improve poor communities in India.
Randeep is currently shooting for Battle of Saragarhi and will be seen in the role of Havildar Ishar Singh. For the role, he underwent drastic transformation and needless to say he looked totally different in his new look.
Earlier, sharing his look from the movie Randeep took to his Twitter and shared a photograph of himself, standing next to the portrait of the soldier. He wrote: Feels surreal to stand next to #HavildarlsharSingh, be him, & hold him on the cover of @capt_amarinder’s book #BattleOfSaragahi #Sikh #Epic
Battle of Saragarhi is helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, that took place in 1897 between the British Indian Army and the Afghan Orakzai tribesmen, in the North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan).
The film also features Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Shadaab Khan and Rannvijay Singh in pivotal roles.
