Raees Box Office Collection Day 5: Shah Rukh Khan's film to be his 7th to enter Rs 100 crore club

In its 5-day long weekend, Shah Rukh Khan's Raees did a business of Rs 93.24 crore and will soon enter the 100 crore club in a day or two

With Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees doing amazingly well at the box office, it seems like Raees is still ahead of Kaabil. The film is doing extremely well and is strongly moving ahead in the box office game.

Despite being compared with Hrithik’s Kaabil, the film is highly appreciated by the film critics and the audience is going gaga about it. And as far as the box office figures are concerned, Raees is not only ruling domestically but overseas as well.

In its 5-day long weekend, the movie did a business of Rs 93.24 crore and Raees will soon enter the 100 crore club in a day or two. This will be SRK’s 7th film to enter the 100-crore club and with its first-day earnings, it is also amongst his top 5 earner films.

Here’s a detailed break-up of Raees box office collection in Week 1:

  • Wednesday: 20.42 crore
  • Thursday: 26.30 crore
  • Friday: 13.11 crore
  • Saturday: 15.61 crore
  • Sunday: 17.80 crore

The film has also earned Rs 45.63 crore from key international markets so far and recorded a business of 20.43 crore in UAE-GCC alone.

And the whole team of Raees along with Shah Rukh have decided to celebrate the success of the film. The whole team will host a grand party on Monday sans alcohol, as January 30 is Martyr’s Day and also happens to be a dry day.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is set in the backdrop of Gujarat in the 80s and also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. While Shah Rukh will be seen portraying the character of a wicked bootlegger Raees Alam, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be playing the role of a cop whose sole motive is to put him behind the bars.
