It seems Pahlaj Nihalani could not keep himself away from the film industry too long. After being sacked from Censor Board’s chief, he is returning as a distributor in the film industry. And guess what, he is coming back as a distributor with Julie 2- Bold, Beautiful and Blessed. The film has already created a lot of buzz, soon after the teaser of the film featuring actress Raai Laxmi was released. But, the million dollar question is where have the sanskar’s of Nihalani have gone now? Famous for chopping off bold scenes under his leadership in Censor Board, it is rather interesting that Nihalani will be distributing a film with steamy scenes.
According to the reports published by a leading daily, Nihalani said “My last films were Sridevi’s Tamil film Puli, followed by the 2016 Iranian-Indian drama Salaam Mumbai. My family loved Julie 2, it’s a bold thriller about how talented people come into the industry and then are forced to compromise. It’s a good expose with a message for aspiring actors who come from across the country and don’t get the right people or platform.” Well, with this statement of Nihalani’s we wonder, what he had in mind when he chopped the not-so-bold scenes in the films released under him.
Further sharing his mind on Julie 2 and about its certification, Nihalani said “Julie 2 should be given an ‘A’ certificate without any cuts. There is no vulgarity, obscenity or even a language problem.”

Recently, the teaser of Laxmi starrer Julie 2 was launched. In over 47 seconds video, the Southern actress teases her audience with some really hot scenes as she undresses herself and flutes her back. A sequel to 2004 release Julie, the film has the actress replacing Neha Dhupia. Though it is too early to say that the film will see the actress in a strong woman portrayal like its first part, it is clear that the film has lots of steamy scenes which is grabbing all the eyeballs. Helmed by Deepak Shivdasani, the film is slated to hit the theatres on October 6.
