Not Salman Khan, THIS person inspired Ranbir Kapoor to help distributors if Jagga Jasoos fails

Ranbir Kapoor has said he would return the money of distributors if Jagga Jasoos flopped. Directed by Anurag Basu, the movie also features Katrina Kaif

Ranbir Kapoor has donned the hat of a producer for the first time with Jagga Jasoos. The movie which has been in news for three years now has a lot at stake. While a lot has been said about the movie, Ranbir Kapoor has now told if the movie tanks at the Box Office, he would return the money of the distributors. The movie is helmed by Anurag Basu and also features Katrina Kaif in an important role, marking her and Ranbir’s third collaboration after Rajneeti and Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani.

Speaking to a daily, Ranbir Kapoor said, “It has been going on since my grandfather’s (Raj Kapoor) time in the 1950s… It is a healthy exercise. If someone loses money on something and you have made money out of it, it’s good to compensate. But that depends on person to person and film to film. Like when Mera Naam Joker released, distributors incurred losses. So when Bobby released, my grandfather gave a bigger share to the distributors than the exhibitors.” Ranbir Kapoor added if he is making money out of a failed movie, it was his responsibility to take care of people’s losses.

Jagga Jasoos’ delay has made many skeptical about the movie. But Ranbir Kapoor feels the movie is heartwarming and will definitely connect with the viewers. In an interview with InUth, Ranbir explained why he didn’t feel bad about the constant delay in the movie. He said, “I was prepared for it because I had worked with Dada in a film called Barfi and that’s his style of working. He works under chaos, he takes time. He really kind of surrenders to the film, which can be really hard for the actors.”
