Ranbir Kapoor opened up about Fawad Khan's ban during the release of Ae Dil Hail Mushkil said, it was unfortunate that due to the political climate he had to bear the brunt

Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his next Jagga Jasoos, says he feels unfortunate that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s name was dragged into controversy during his last release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Fawad, who was in a guest appearance in Karan Johar’s directorial had to leave the country following the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) self-imposed ban on Pakistani artists from working in India.

Talking about the trouble that Fawad had to face during the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Ranbir said:  “I am a big admirer of Fawad as a talent. His role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil added so much of dignity and so much of an impact. He was kind enough to do it as it was like a guest appearance, it wasn’t a big part. It was unfortunate that due to the political climate Fawad had to bear the brunt. But he is someone who I admire and I also connected to him as a friend. I would love to do a film with him where we can share the screen space for a longer time” a news agency quoted Ranbir.

The film also marked the first collaboration of Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar as an actor and director. Talking about the same, the Tamasha actor expressed his desire to work with him again.

I think he will take a break before he gets back and dons the hat of a director. Whenever he has a film to make I would love to be a part of it.”

Fawad Khan is a well-known face of Pakistani film industry and became a heartthrob in India after his debut with Khoobsurat, which also featured Sonam Kapoor. His Pakistani show Humsafar is one of the most talked about TV shows of the actor. Talking about the show, Ranbir revealed that his mother and actress Neetu Kapoor often watches Fawad’s popular TV shows.
