Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 is doing great at the box office despite being in competition with new releases like The Ghazi Attack, Iraada and Running Shaadi. The movie is not only being praised by the film fraternity but also by the audience as well.
Jolly LLB 2 is Akshay’s fifth hit in a row after Rustom, Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rowdy Rathore. Made on a budget of 45 crores, the movie earned profit from the very first day of its release, as the cost was already recovered by satellite, digital, and music rights.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 2 is the second installment of Arshad Warsi’s 2013 courtroom drama Jolly LLB. The film also features Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in prominent roles.
In week 2 of its release, Jolly LLB 2 did a business of Rs 4.14 crore on Friday, Rs 6.35 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.24 crore on Sunday, minting a total of Rs 95.44 crore so far.
The film is not only going really strong at the box office but also surpassed the lifetime collections of the first installment in just two days of its release. Though Jolly LLB 2 landed itself in legal trouble just before the release fo the film, but that didn’t affect the business at all and the film is sailing smoothly so far.
