Hum Aapke Hain Koun, is one of those cult Bollywood family drama which showed what relationships meant and also taught values. An adaptation of Sooraj Barjatya’s Rajshri films, Nadiya Ke Paar, HAHK  was entertaining. Released in 1994, the film still makes for a good watch. Even after 23-years of its release, the film is a benchmark for the family drama flicks in the Bollywood. The multi-starrer film has many records to its name. The film was released in handpicked theatres by the production house after they upgraded the sound as well as visual quality. The producers of the film asked the theatre owners to upgrade the cinema halls if they want to screen Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Initially, the theatre owners were reluctant but as the film slowly became a huge blockbuster at the Box Office, they began to upgrade their theatres to screen the film. The theatre was decorated like a wedding set with lighting and flowers all over the building.

After Sajaan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun was yet another successful film for Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan. The film went on for a successful run at the ticket window for over 150 weeks and raked in Rs 70 crore at the Box-Office. Certainly, the film proved to be the Baahubali of the 90’s.

Even after 23-years of Hum Aapke Hain Koun’s release, the dialogues and the songs are imbibed in our heart.
