The multi-starrer film has many records to its name. The film was released in handpicked theatres by the production house after they upgraded the sound as well as visual quality. The producers of the film asked the theatre owners to upgrade the cinema halls if they want to screen Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Initially, the theatre owners were reluctant but as the film slowly became a huge blockbuster at the Box Office, they began to upgrade their theatres to screen the film. The theatre was decorated like a wedding set with lighting and flowers all over the building.
After Sajaan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun was yet another successful film for Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan. The film went on for a successful run at the ticket window for over 150 weeks and raked in Rs 70 crore at the Box-Office. Certainly, the film proved to be the Baahubali of the 90’s.
