Arijit Singh, known for his melodious voice that has captivated millions of hearts, turns 30 today. One of the most successful playback singers of this era, his songs tempt you to listen to them in a loop.

The early 2000’s witnessed a major change in Indian television. Following the success of musical reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma, Meri Awaz Suno, more talent hunt contests were churned out to tap singing talent. After the stupendous success of Indian Idol in 2004, another reality show Fame Gurukul hit our television screens. Arijit was one of the contestants on the show. Sadly, he was voted out in the final rounds, but not before having been noticed by singing Aashiq Banaya Aapne on the show. And rest is history.

Although he has sung songs of all kinds, the romantic songs are his forte. On his birthday, we bring to you 10 melodious love numbers crooned by him which should be on everyone’s playlist.
