As expected, Aamir Khan’s Dangal has set the Box Office by storm. While the opening day collection of Dangal remains at Rs 29. 78 crore, the second day also raked in a lot of moolah for the film. Dangal collected a massive Rs 34. 82 crore on Saturday in India, making a total of Rs 64. 60 crore in just two days at the Box Office. These figures also include a phenomenal business done by the Telugu and Tamil version of the film.
The Nitesh Tiwari directorial had opened to more than 4300 screens in India. With Sunday being a Christmas holiday and the good word generated around the film, the sports-drama is expected to garner around Rs 35 crore at the Box Office. This will eventually make the film cross the coveted mark of Rs 100 crore at the Box Office. In just two days, Dangal has surpassed the week one collection of Baaghi, Befikre, Dishoom, Mohenjo Daro and Udta Punjab.
It should also be noted that Dangal will also be the second film crossing Rs 100 mark at the Box Office in 2016 in its first week, after Sultan. While the Salman Khan film had minted a whopping amount of Rs 229. 16 crore in its first week at the Box Office, it had enjoyed a free run of 9 days due to an extended weekend. The top week one collection of Hindi films released in 2016 is as follows:
