SS Rajamaouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion will be released in China this September. The historical fantasy epic will be shown across 4,000 screens in the neighbouring country, eyeing collections worth 44 million dollars (Rs 283 crore). The film’s cast members will visit China for the promotions.

Baahubali 2 has shattered several records at the Box Office worldwide and it is expected that it will continue dream run in China as well. It will face stiff competition from Aamir Khan’s Dangal that is the highest grossing non-Hollywood film there. Starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan, the film will hit the theatres in Japan, Taiwan and Korea at the end of this year. The film recently completed seven weeks of its running at the theatres.

Since its release on April 28, Baahubali 2 has earned a whopping Rs 1,373.50 crore in India while garnering Rs 1,684 crore overseas. The Hindi dubbed version of the film has collected more than Rs 500 crore. Produced by Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda under Arka Entertainment, the film revolves around the war of succession between two cousins Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallala Deva to the throne of Mahishmati. The film released across 6,500 screens in India and overall 9,000 screens across the world.

It will be interesting to see whether Baahubali 2 is able to break Dangal‘s record that has earned a total of 190 million dollars (Rs 1,225 crore) in China. The film starring Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Zaira Wasim has immense praises from the audience there, including President Xi Jinping.
