Busy superstar Akshay Kumar gets candid about upcoming projects including Crack, Baby 2, Housefull 4 and Shivam Nair's next

Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest stars of our industry who is known to have multiple releases in a year. The superstar, who is riding high on success after delivering four back to back Rs 100 crore films i.e. Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom and Jolly LLB 2, has quite a few films on his platter.

The actor in an interview with us for the promotions of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha joked that he wasn’t going to slow down anytime soon. While the shooting for Padman and 2.0 is complete, Kumar has already shot around 50% of Gold and the shooting of the film will be wrapped up by the end of September.

Talking about upcoming films, Akshay Kumar revealed that Neeraj Pandey’s Crack has been shelved as of yet as the makers are yet to find an appropriate script.

“We are not able to crack the script for Crack,” says Akshay Kumar.

When asked if he has been approached by Naam Shabana director, Shivam Nair for his next film to be produced by Neeraj Pandey, Akshay without divulging the question said,

“No, I am not doing the film.”

The actor also revealed that he would love to do another comedy like Housefull,  however, there isn’t a script in place for the fourth instalment of the franchise.

“There is no script in place for Housefull 4,” exclaims Akshay.

Responding to series of rapid fire questions, the actor confirmed that he wasn’t doing Namastey Canada owing to date issues whereas Neeraj Pandey and his team of writers are exploring possibilities of taking the Baby franchise forward.

Akshay’s next film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is slated to release on August 11. Directed by Sree Narayan Singh, the film is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.
