Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2017: I'm fighting for truth and corruption which won't stop, says PM Narendra Modi in Rudrapur

Uttarakhand must give BJP a chance to serve and lift the state to some other level where there will be development, employment for youth and safety for women.

Ahead of the state assembly elections in poll-bound Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Rudrapur on February 11 to campaign for the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Rajkumar Thukral.

Praising the sacred land of Uttarakhand, PM Modi called Rudrapur as ‘Mini India’ and stated that the activities carried out here affect the entire nation. He said,”Rudrapur is just like ‘Mini India’. Whatever happens here impacts the entire nation.” Further, in the beginning, PM Modi also congratulated the Indian scientists and sent his good wishes for successful testing of a missile that can destroy enemy missiles in the air itself even from a distance of 150 km.

Slamming the opposition and the ruling Congress Party, PM Modi asserted that the state government has hampered the entire state in such a way that it needs two engines for their upliftment. He said, Uttarakhand needs two engines, the state govt under BJP and the Central government in Delhi which will take the state to new heights.”

He further said that he is fighting a war against corruption to curb black money from the economy. The BJP Government has only one aim that the nation’s money should benefit nation’s citizen. He said,”Some other government has looted this country for 70 years and misused their powers. But now, my fight against black money will eradicate the black money through our law against Benami Property. I don’t care who is criticising me or making fun of me, I won’t stop.”

Speaking about state’s tourism, PM Modi said,”Uttarakhand has the potential to attract tourists from the entire world. We have allotted Rs. 12000 crore for connecting Char Dham.”

At the end, he asked the people that for a better future, Uttarakhand must give BJP a chance to serve and lift the state to some other level where there will be development, employment for youth and safety for women.

The polling in Uttarkhand will commence in single phase which is scheduled on February 15 while the counting will be done on March 11.
