Uttar Pradesh Election 2017: UP govt played with youth's aspirations for political gains, says PM Narendra Modi in Badaun

Badaun had been under the concern of Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and SP former chief Mulayam Singh but still Budaun is among the 100 backward districts, asserted PM Narendra Modi.

After slamming the Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance in Uttar Pradesh and calling it an ‘alliance of clans’ in Bijnor on February 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived Badaun to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party Candidate for the assembly polls 2017.

A huge crowd of people gathered in Badaun to welcome the Prime Minister. Beginning his address with thanking the Badaun locals, PM Modi condemned the work of the present of Samajwadi Party government in the district. He asserted that Badaun had been under the concern of  Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and  SP former chief Mulayam Singh but still Budaun is among the 100 backward districts. Badaun was deprived of electricity supply unless BJP government came to power in the centre.

“I had heard about Budaun even when I was in Gujarat. But I wonder, what has been the reason that fruits of development could not reach this land under SP and BSP? Around 500 villages in Badaun lack power supply. What have previous governments done so far? They must answer,” said PM Narendra Modi.

Once again, taking a clear aim at Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, PM Modi asserted that his activities are speaking louder than his work for the state which even kids are aware of.

Citing the irresponsibilities of the present power holders, PM Modi mentioned that an SP MLA accused an MP, of his own party, of corruption. But the party top brass didn’t take any action against that MP. Moreover, PM blamed CM Akhilesh for recruiting corrupt officers for higher posts in government offices.

Moreover, PM Modi hit the SP-Congress alliance collectively and stated that it’s better that if the duo of Akhilesh Yadav-Rahul Gandhi to describe their achievements in their campaign instead of blaming him.

Citing the success of BJP in the state MLC elections, PM Modi said,”We have won all the three seats. With this victory, people of UP have signalled that where the wave is heading”

Further, he described an achievement of the Indian scientists who have invented a technology last night, which can destroy any enemy missile in the air itself even from a distance of 150km. PM Modi, like he promised in every district he addressed, promised the people that BJP will waive off the loans on the names of small-scale farmers after coming to powers.
