Bazmi Siddiqui has been booked by the police along with 6 others. The woman in her complaint has alleged that she was gang-raped by Siddiqui and 5 of his associates who barged into her house in Purani Sabzi Mandi locality of Faizabad city and took turns to rape her. The complainant has also alleged that the Siddiqui and his aide forcefully entered the house and beat up her family members before sexually assaulting her.

However, Siddique has claimed it to be a political conspiracy. “There is a BSP wave in the ongoing elections and I am winning. So the opposition parties are conspiring against me,” he told PTI. The police has managed to arrest five of the accused named in the complaint. However, the police has launched a manhunt to arrest Siddique and one of his associates involved in the case.

According to reports, the BSP candidate had allegedly raped the victim for three years ago too. However, he apparently got away with the help of the local police officials. A relative of the woman has alleged that Siddique and his aides brutally beat him up when he tried to stop them. Siddiqui was recently in the news after it was announced that he was the only Muslim candidate in fray from BSP for Ayodhya seat in the UP elections 2017.
