The second wife of Mulayam Singh, Sadhna Yadav has said that she wants to see her step-son Akhilesh Yadav as chief minister again

As campaigning for the last leg in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017  ends, Sadhna Yadav, the second wife of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that she wants to see her step-son Akhilesh Yadav as chief minister again.

“I want our party to win again in Uttar Pradesh and want Akhilesh Yadav to become Chief Minister again.” Sadhna told news agency ANI.

Speaking on her relations with Akhilesh, Sadhna said, “I have been more in conversation with Akhilesh since January 1 than I have ever been in last 5 years.”

When asked over her entry into active Politics, Sadhna said, “Now I don’t want to enter into politics, but yes I would like my son Prateek Yadav to enter into politics.”

The last phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held on March 8.

Commenting over the tug of war between Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal Yadav, Ramgopal Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav which led to a massive ruckus in the party earlier in January, Sadhna said, “Yes, I feel bad after what happened in the family. I do not blame anyone for the allegations on her.”

“No matter what, nobody should have disrespected Netaji, it is he who founded and nurtured the party. I don’t know who misled Akhilesh, he respects Netaji and me a lot,” she added.

Sadhna also commented on Shivpal’s role in party ruckus. She said, “He should not have been insulted. He was not at fault. He has done a lot for Netaji and the Samajwadi Party.”
