Watches worth Rs 44 lakh, plot worth Rs 30 crores; Navjot Singh Sidhu owns assets worth Rs 45.91 crore

Navjot Singh Sidhu recently joined congress and filed his nomination to contest from Amritsar seat in the upcoming Punjab elections.

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu who recently joined the Congress Party reported has owns assets worth Rs 45.91 crores. Sidhu filed his nomination from Amritsar East declared in his affidavit that his movable and immovable assets including his wife’s assets cost Rs 6.94 crore and Rs 38.97 crore.

Wondering what constitutes these assets? Sidhu declared in his affidavit that he owns watches worth Rs 44 lakh, residential plots worth Rs 30 crore, a mini cooper, a ring worth Rs 15 lakh, a Fortuner SUV and two land cruisers. He further declared that his annual incomes was Rs 9.66 crore for the financial year 2015-16.

In his affidavit, Sidhu has also declared that he has personal loans of Rs 2.35 crore. He added that he owns six showrooms in Patiala and his wife owned three. According to reports, Sidhu does not own any agricultural land. The couple has plots worth Rs 30 crore and Rs 1.05 crore in Amritsar, while the inherited asets are worth Rs 34.75 crore and Rs 93 lakh.

Two days after joining the Congress, cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu filed his nomination from Amritsar East seat. “This time the victory will be of Punjab, Punjabiyat and the people of Punjab. I want to tell every Punjabi to vote for Punjab this time and also vote to establish righteousness in the state,” said Sidhu after filing his nomination.
