Mohali shocker! Over 30 dogs attacked with machetes, acid and axe, 20 go missing

Over 30 dogs were attacked with machetes, axe, acid, many dogs including puppies suffered grievous cuts and injuries in Mohali

A gut-wrenching tale of animal cruelty has come to light. More than 30 dogs were attacked by a group of three people at Nadiali village in Mohali.  The owner of the shelter Resham Dhaliwal  has alleged that three persons, including Balwinder Singh, his son Jimmy and their domestic help Dharminder brutally thrashed the dogs before throwing acid at them.

Dhaliwal also claimed that as many as 20 dogs were missing, raising suspicion that the trio must have killed and buried them somewhere . Dhaliwal further added that a dog was killed and 11 dogs including four pups were injured with grave cuts, burn injuries with acid and fractured limbs, The Tribune reported.

It is reported that Balwinder who is the landlord of the Dhaliwal’s house and shelter wanted her to vacate the place.

“I am running the shelter inside a rented space. Dharminder, a servant at the owner’s house came and attacked the dogs under the influence of alcohol with three others. The owners asked me to vacate the house a fortnight ago.” Hindustan Times quoted Dhaliwal as saying.

On the Morning of May 22,  Balwinder stormed into her house and allgedly assaulted Dhaliwal and her husband. She called cops, who took the assualter in custody only to later release them. In the evening the trio attacked the shelter with acid, machete and sticks.

Police, however, denied that the dogs were attacked. “We are looking into the incident and we did not find anything to substantiate that the dogs were attacked or even injured.” Sohana station house officer Rajan Parwinder Singh told HT. The dubbed the incident as a scuffle between landlord and tenant.
