Thank You Zomato, For Keeping Decency Alive

A Zomato user cancelled food order over " non-Hindu" rider, Zomato's epic reply is winning praises on Twitter.

A customer on Tuesday was furious with the food delivery giant Zomato and asked the company to change the delivery executive.
Reason?
Because Zomato allocated “a non-Hindu rider” for delivering his food order!

In a series of posts, a twitter user Pandit Amit Shukla with the username @NaMo_SARKAAR tweeted that he had cancelled his order after the food delivering company allotted delivery executive called Faiyas to deliver his food.
Along with the tweets, he put out screenshots claiming that Zomato refused to change the delivery executive and also added that his money will not be refunded in case the order is cancelled.

“Just cancelled an order on @ZomatoIN they allocated a non-hindu rider for my food they said they can’t change rider and can’t refund on cancellation I said you can’t force me to take delivery I don’t want don’t refund just cancel,” he wrote in his Twitter post.

When Zomato’s customer service asked about the reason for changing the delivery executive, Shukla said: “We have Shravan and I don’t need a delivery from a Muslim fellow.”
Following this, Zomato put out a tweet on Wednesday morning saying, “Food does not have a religion. It is religion”.

The sentiments was also echoed by the company’s CEO Deepinder Goyal.

“We are proud of the idea of India – and the diversity of our esteemed customers and partners. We aren’t sorry to lose any business that comes in the way of our values,” Mr Goyal tweeted.

Impressed with Zomato’s reply, several Twitter users poured in praises for the company.
