This Transwoman Makes India Proud By Winning International Pageant

She speaks on gender sensitisation as well as raises funds through beauty pageants

India’s Naaz Joshi made history by winning the Miss World Diversity pageant for the third time in a row. A Delhi-based transgender model, Joshi won the crown in Port Louis, Mauritius defeating 14 international contestants.

Joshi also bagged Miss Congeniality title along with Best National Costume and has previously won in 2017 and 2018.

Joshi started modelling in 2013 after undergoing sex-reassignment surgery (SRS) and is a NIFT graduate and a designer and also speaks on gender sensitisation as well as raises funds through beauty pageants.

Naaz Joshi told Indulge Express,

“Winning crown gives me the power and responsibility towards societyWith such a huge responsibility, I aim to work towards bringing transgenders into the mainstream. I want that everyone should accept us as we are without any discrimination.”
