Trailer of the ‘most insane’ horror movie of 2018 is here. Can you watch it without flinching?

While this year’s Sundance was pretty subdued and low-key, a horror movie called, Hereditary, has traumatised the Sundance Film Festival audience and its trailer finally released today.

Hereditary stars Toni Collette, is the story of the Graham family, who is grieving after the death of their beloved grandmother. Strange things start happening as the the funeral is underway and, well, you get the drift. The film has been called ‘a new generation’s The Exorcist’ by Time Out. Critics are already calling it a top contender for scariest movie of the year.

No seriously, people at Sundance couldn’t stop talking about Hereditary. Here are some reactions:

After getting hyped with all the tweets, we finally got our first glimpse of what everyone at Sundance seemed to be going on about about with Hereditary‘s first trailer that dropped yesterday—and it looks like the critics weren’t playing. We all inherit some bad habits and peculiarities from our parents but Hereditary takes this idea to a whole new level. In the two-minute trailer, a young girl chops a dead bird’s head off, someone is on fire and an army of ants devours a sleeping body. The silent snapping sound throughout the trailer is pretty freaky too.
