We Are Lusting After This Foldable Smartphone That Burns A Hole In Your Pocket

Samsung's foldable smartphone is expected to cost around Rs 1.3 lakh

Do you still dream of buying a smartphone that’s sleek to look at, has dozens of cameras to click you in every angle and is as straight and sharp-edged as a weapon? Wake up and smell the coffee! Smartphones are beginning to ‘bend’ to fit inside your pockets but their costs might just burn a hole in them. One of the first companies to come up with a foldable smartphone is Samsung.

There have been a lot of rumours about a foldable smartphone in the past and to put those rumours to rest, Samsung finally gave us a first look at a ‘folded’ device recently. The phone has a tablet size screen which can be folded to fit in a pocket.

The screen is being called the Infinity Flex Display. The specs still remain unknown, but the screen size when unfolded will be around 7.3 inches with a resolution of 1536 x 2152 pixels. Google also announced Android Support for this device, as more manufacturers plan to launch foldable smartphones. The phone might also support 5G technology and is expected to launch in early 2019.

The price of the device has been rumoured to be around a whopping $1800 (Rs 1.30 Lakh). Other companies that are developing foldable smartphones are Huawei and Xiaomi.

With so many Android devices in the market, would you be willing to pay this much for a foldable smartphone?
