As the first look of Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Pari’ released yesterday, Twitter is exploding with mixed responses about the horror flick. There’s no denying the fact that Anushka Sharma nails it when it comes to diversifying her roles and her choices for roles are often lauded as bold and unconventional. From delivering a one-woman show in the film ‘NH10’ to playing a ghost in ‘Phillauri’, the actress does not shy away from hopping in varied characters.
The first look of ‘Pari’ features Anushka Sharma in a never seen before avatar. She looks gruesome, mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. The film is made under the banner of ‘Clean State Films’ (Anushka’s home production) and will star Anushka Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee in the lead. It is also the directorial debut of Prosit Roy who was an assistant director in Anushka’s previous film ‘Phillauri’.
Coming back to Twitter, the micro-blogging site saw an uproar within few seconds of unveiling the first look. While many applauded and a few criticised, but Twitter did what it does best – converted the poster into a funny meme.
