Tired of breaking your new resolutions every year? The whole ‘I’m gonna stop smoking/drinking and turn a new leaf’ thingy never really works out, does it? We’ve got a perfect set of new year resolutions for you!
Let’s face it, your new year resolutions don’t work out and neither do you. Do you know why? Because they are unrealistic! Yes, these resolutions are so far-fetched that most of us give up by the first week of January max.
Here’s the perfect solution: We’re gonna give you 9 realistic new year goals that’ll you wanna accomplish even after your new year hangover is gone. Check them out:
Not going booze hunting on dry days
Let’s face it, ‘I’m going to stop drinking alcohol’ is not happening. Why not start with picking an easier resolution- don’t turn into a booze-hungry werewolf on dry days and go out booze hunting.
Not getting ‘extra-cheesy’ everything
The diet is not happening, so how about you do this- stop getting an extra layer of cheese on everything. That’s a start, right?
Stop calling my mom as soon as I enter the kitchen
‘I’m going to learn how to make exotic dishes.’ Umm, let’s start with I won’t panic and call mom as soon as I turn on the stove?
Only watch one episode per day
You can’t stop Netflix. You can’t. What you can do is watch one episode per day instead of binge watching an entire series in two days. Sounds good?
Reply to people on WhatsApp more often
We know that every new year you decide that you’re gonna meet your friends and family more often. It’s not going to happen. How about you start with replying to those unread messages and family group chats?
I won’t stay awake after my brain gives up
‘I will sleep at 10 pm everyday’ will not happen, so how about taking up this resolution- I will not push my body to stay awake once I start feeling brain-dead!
Put on workout clothes twice a week
There’s no guarantee that you’ll hit the gym, but hey you’ve got your Yoga pants on. That’s progress, right?
Try not to look at memes for more than 1 hour a day
You can’t cut-off from Facebook or Instagram. Instead of trying to take a social media detox, just limit the time you look at memes to 1 hour.
I will stop making impossible New Year’s resolutions
Pretty important, right? Read points 1-8 for reference!
