India’s in-form leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is gearing up for the limited-overs series against South Africa starting February 1. Meanwhile, Chahal has been training hard in the gym as well as in the field. Chahal often posts his workout pictures and videos. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player has been trolled in the past for being too skinny. Yuvraj Singh even asked him “which one is heavier? the ball or him?” after his best bowling figures in T20 series against England in 2016.
This time around Chahal got trolled for his workout video where he can be seen doing relatively heavy lifting in the gym. Here’s the video –
It was his RCB teammate Tabraiz Shamsi who commented on his Instagram video first and tried to troll Chahal. Chahal was quick to revert with a hilarious response, comparing himself with another RCB teammate Chris Gayle. Here’s how the conversation went –
Gayle joined in the conversation as well with a savage yet surprised reply –
India’s fielding coach Ramakrishnan Sridhar did not hold back himself from trolling Chahal as well as he commented:
Recently, Chahal was not retained by RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 retention despite being India’s most successful spinner in limited overs circuit in the past two years. In IPL 2016, Chahal also won the purple cap after taking 19 wickets.
Chahal has been a regular in the Indian limited-overs side. He might attract interests of various franchises in IPL 2018 player auction. However, it is speculated that RCB would want to buy him through the RTM (right to match) card in the auctions.
