Watch: Bizarre dismissals or fixing? ICC launches probe into Dubai's T20 league after match footage goes viral

How can someone get out like that? Were they high on something?

International Cricket Council (ICC) will be taking action against a private T20 league in Dubai called All Stars T20 League after footage of bizarre dismissals and decisions went viral. In the video, Dubai Bulls batsmen can be seen throwing their wicket away which looks questionable.

The T20 match was even telecast on TV. In the viral footage, a batsman can be seen coming down the wicket, offering no shot and not even trying to get back into the crease. The runouts are so hilarious that it will make former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq look like the fastest runner between the wickets.

The stump outs are beyond the understanding of the human mind, despite sloppy fielding batsmen can be seen making no effort that could convince the viewers that he wants to save his wicket.

Here’s the video which will make you question the dismissals:

It is now confirmed that that ICC’s governing body will be investigating the bizarre tournament which was abandoned after Day 1. Here’s what ICC’s ACU general manager Alex Marshall had to say about the incident according to cricket.com.au.

There is currently an ICC Anti-Corruption Unit investigation underway in relation to the Ajman All Stars League held recently in Ajman, UAE. The ACU works to uphold integrity in cricket and in keeping with that role we are talking to players and officials and will not make any further comment at this time.

The secretary-general of the Ajman Cricket Council revealed that he did not know about the tournament and took a firm action when it came to his notice. He said,

The tournament wasn’t approved and we only came to know about the activity on day two. There are procedures and when my staff asked them to go by the rule book, they dispersed and never came back again. Meanwhile, we found the Ajman Oval breaching the code more than once and hence we have suspended their affiliation. We have a zero tolerance policy towards corruption and are cooperating with the ICC in their ongoing investigation.
