Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan Let Their Punjabi Instinct Take Over In Essex — Watch

When the duo did dancing down the field instead of dancing down the wicket

As Essex hosted India for the three-day practice game there were questions about the below par outfield. On the other hand, there were no shortcomings on the hospitality part as Virat Kohli & Co. felt home away from home because of the desi vibe in the stadium. On day 1, the players were greeted to a performance on the song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire. On day 2, it was bhangra from locals of Indian-origin and on day 3 the Indian team took the field with the sound of dhol in the background.

The Delhi boys of the team Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan did not hold themselves back when they walked into the field. The Punjabi duo grooved to the music as they got ready to play.

Here’s the video posted by Essex County Cricket Club –

Here are a few reactions to the video, including the ones criticising Dhawan:

The three-day warm-up game was a prelude to what India will face for the two-month long five-match Test series. Dhawan got a taste of ‘English conditions’ as he got out for a duck in both the innings.

Kohli made an impact in the game straightaway as he led the counter-attack in the first innings and scored 68 runs from 93 balls. On the other hand, it will be a surprise if we see Dhawan opening the batting in the first Test after failing to score just one run in both the innings.
