Virat Kohli Gets Trolled For Visiting Southampton FC, Twitterati Fear They Might Get Relegated

Now, Virat Kohli cannot even visit a football club without getting trolled

Virat Kohli is in the news these days for some weird reasons. It is not about performance or determination towards his batting and captaincy for India but the teams he supports apart from cricket. The most recent one being Germany who were knocked out of the World Cup 2018 in group stages.

During the five-match Test series in England, the Indian skipper visited English Premier League (EPL) club Southampton FC where Jose Fonte gave him a customised jersey.

Here’s the photo Southampton FC tweeted of the two captains:

Expectedly, Twitterati recalled how Kohli supports a team and the team ends up losing (read Argentina and Spain). This time, Tweeps feared that Southampton might get relegated:

The 29-year-old-led Indian side has lost the Test series already. They will be playing in the fifth Test which will also be Alastair Cook’s farewell game.

The right-handed batsman has stood out of the lot scoring 544 runs from 8 innings on the tour in comparison to the previous tour when he managed to score just 134 runs from 10 innings.

He has eclipsed each and every batsman in the Test series so far. The nearest to his tally of runs is Jos Buttler with 260 runs from 7 innings. From the Indian side, it is Cheteshwar Pujara who has scored 241 runs from 6 innings.
