Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and NH10 fame actress Anushka Sharma’s have been seeing each other for some time now, but no one knows who helped this adorable couple to go public with their relationship. We just stumbled upon this interesting bit. Reportedly, it was former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan who played cupid for the Bollywood-meets-cricket pair. And, it was Zaheer who pushed Cheeku to approach Anushka Sharma and helped Kohli to handle their relationship in public.
Courtesy all the negative criticism (remember when Anushka was bashed for Virat’s poor performance?), Virat was apprehensive about making his relationship public or even talk about it. At this point, Zaheer stepped in and helped Anushka and Virat to go public with their relationship. He added that the left-arm fast bowler was “one of the first guys” he approached regarding the issue.
Kohli, while speaking to TV presenter Gaurav Kapoor during his YouTube show Breakfast with Champions, Kohli said,
I am actually very grateful that my first interaction about this was with Zak [Zaheer]. He told me the right thing and I have followed it ever since.
He added,
Luckily he was one of the first guys I spoke to about this. He said ‘whatever you do, don’t try to hide it. Because you’ll stress yourself out and you’re in a relationship, not doing anything wrong. Not committing a crime.

Kohli further added,
We [Anushka and I] don’t go out there and be madly vocal about it [relationships] or have social media conversations, which I fail to understand. But, we don’t hide it.
Meanwhile, India has just won the One Day International series against New Zealand 2-1 and have taken a 1-0 lead in the 1st T20I. The 2nd T20I will be played at Rajkot on November 4.
