When it comes to cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is God for all Indians. While his service to the Indian cricket team justifies why he is revered, it is humility that distinguishes him from the others. Whether on-field or off it, Sachin has given due respect to everyone. Post-retirement, the Master Blaster not only continues to spread smiles but is also associated with noble causes that show the other side of him.
Virat Kohli once shared that Sachin has been his inspiration and just like Kohli, Sachin has been an inspiration for many. But do we know who Sachin is inspired from? On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, Sachin revealed what his inspiration is. The former India cricketer planned a meet-greet with special kids. He tweeted, “Each day is a new challenge for them yet they continue to smile & never fail to inspire us.”

In another tweet, Sachin said, “Nothing gives me more happiness than realizing I’m the reason for someone’s smile. Give back in whatever form you can.”
Sachin, you have been the reason for a billion smiles for over two decades. And by taking up causes like these, one can only say that there never can and never will be another person like you. The thought of giving back to others in any form is how Sachin – the humanitarian – has again inspired billions.
This is not the first instance when Sachin contributed to the society. In the past, he adopted a village under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. Under the scheme, he adopted Puttamraju Kandrika – a backward village of Andhra Pradesh. This year, he adopted Donja village in Osmanabad district, Maharashtra under the same scheme.
