Sportsmen support Indian Army's surgical strike to avenge Uri attack

Indian army avenges the martyrdom of its 18 soldiers with a surgical strike

On September 18, a terror attack on an army camp in Uri resulted in the martyrdom of 18 Indian soldiers. With numerous ceasefire violations in the past few days, everyone was as agitated as Gautam Gambhir was. The left-handed batsmen took to social media to express his anguish.

Last night India carried out a surgical strike along the Line of Control, targeting the terror launch pads. Indian Army’s move was lauded by several sportsmen. Former cricketer Virender Sehwag, a Twitter specialist, went on to say, “The boys have played really well.”

Cricketers Mohammad Kaif and Harbhajan Singh, too, joined the action and went on to praise Indian army’s move to counter terrorism.

Olympic medallists boxer Vijender Singh and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt also congratulated the Indian armed forces for their success.
