How Jadeja's Brilliant Six Ended With Both Him And Ben Stokes Falling On The Ground

Only Ravindra Jadeja can hit a six like that

In T20 cricket, the scoreboard must keep ticking and the boundaries must keep coming. Edges, mishits, unorthodox shots, everything is welcomed in the shorter version of the game. In the Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clash yesterday, the visitors needed a good start to the last over needing 18 runs to win the match. Ravindra Jadeja was on the strike and it was abundantly clear that Ben Stokes would be bowling full and straight. Jadeja tried going for a maximum and succeeded in digging out the full-pitched delivery and hitting it straight back past the bowler.

But in doing so, he fell down on the pitch with no follow-through at all.

The shot resulted in Stokes falling on the ground as well. From the non-striker end, MS Dhoni came running towards Jadeja as he did not expect the ball to clear the ropes. While Dhoni probably expected Jadeja to get up and try and get a single if the ball doesn’t go all the way, he’d fallen flat in trying to connect the wide yorker to the middle of the bat.

At one point, both Stokes and Jadeja were in the same frame lying on the ground. The hilarious scene amused the commentators and the netizens:
