Ali-Bravo's Premature Celebration In CPL 2018 Despite Dropped Catch Will Make You Go ROFL — Watch

As far as premature celebrations of year 2018 go, Ali Khan tops the list

Always keep an eye on the ball – this famous saying not just applies to the batsman but also to the bowler. In the opening match of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2018, Ali Khan managed to get an outside edge of Andre Fletcher’s and started celebrating assuming that Denesh Ramdin had caught the ball.

But, the ball bounced off Ramdin’s gloves and he dropped it after a few attempts. But Ali did not pay any attention to it and started celebrating his first wicket of the tournament pointing towards the logo on his jersey. Skipper Dwayne Bravo too was unaware of the dropped catch too and hugged Ali in the excitement of the wicket.

It took a while before Ramdin interrupted the celebration and informing his teammates that he had dropped the catch.

Here’s the video of the confusion:

The USA fast bowler was gutted after the dropped catch. But the 27-year-old finally had justice by taking Fletcher’s wicket in the next over. Though the dropped catch cost Trinbago Knight Riders 17 runs.

The Knight Riders won the game by a huge margin of 100 runs. St Lucia Stars continued their losing streak as they bundled out for 95 with 15 balls to go chasing a target of 196. Only three batsmen scored in double digits. Banned Australian opener David Warner made a lacklustre debut scoring just 9 runs off 9 deliveries.
