Mumbai Indians Surely Know How To Treat Their Diehard Fans

The fan struggled to hold back his emotions on meeting Rohit Sharma

Mumbai Indians (MI) have a humongous fan following. They are one of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises who have fans across the nation because of big names attached to the side right from the inaugural season in 2008. Recently, MI ran a contest on one of their social platform and the winner Abhishek Borana was invited to watch their clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Abhishek, a resident of Ratlam travelled 13 hours with his sister to watch his favourite team take on the IPL giants. It was all going well for Abhishek as his team registered a big win at home and became the first to beat CSK in IPL 2019 on April 3. But, it was about to get better.

The diehard fan was invited into the dressing room of MI where he met legend Yuvraj Singh. Buth he got emotional when he met skipper Rohit Sharma. While everyone was trying to calm him down, Abhishek hugged and tried to touch Rohit’s feet.

Even while posing for the photograph, he was struggling to hold back his tears. Rohit gave him an autographed bat. Later on, franchise owner Nita Ambani even asked someone to give him a MI kit to make him feel better.

Meanwhile, MI have set an example on how to value their ardent fans who support the team through thick and thin. The three-time IPL winners are currently at 5th position with three wins in five matches.
