The win became even more special for Rohit Sharma as he is the first captain to have won a hat-trick of titles. Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supeergiant batlled it out thrice in IPL 2017 and the former could not beat the latter even once this season. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians created history after it became the first team to be crowned as IPL champions for the third time.

Mumbai Indians won the IPL final by the narrowest margin of 1 run in a last-ball thriller at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 21. Not many predicted Mumbai Indians win after the team managed to secure only 128. However, it was the magnificent bowling that led Mumbai Indians to register the historic win in the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League.
