Meet Nigel Sylvester, the craziest BMX rider in the history

When it comes to BMX, Nigel Sylvester is already being considered as a legend of the sport

American BMX rider Nigel Sylvester is someone who is famous for creating magic with a bicycle. The 29-year-old hailing from Queens, New York is considered as one of the leading professional athletes in the cycle sport, thanks to his awe-inspiring stunts and tricks that has completely shocked people worldwide. Sylvester’s popularity has skyrocketed in recent years so much that he even has a signature bike seat called the ‘Nigel seat’. The BMX pro has also created a number of signature watches in association with G-Shock. Thus it comes as no surprise that he is being sponsored by Nike, G-Shock, Gatorade, Ethika, and Animal Bikes.

The fact that he is able to pull off incredible on-road and off-road gimmicks so easily just prove that Nigel is not only a talented rider born with skills, but also someone who is confident enough to treat his work as an art. Sylvester is simply passionate about BMX, that adrenaline rush which runs under his skin is what drives him to think beyond the rest and successfully do things what others term it to be impossible.

Practise makes things perfect, he initially learned how to embrace his failures, then worked on his progress step by step, until he eventually recognised the success he dreamt of. He took a chance on BMX, as it has always been about expressing one’s point of view. Like New York City, that never seems to take a break, Nigel Sylvester understands that all he has to do is keep up, to survive and thrive in his industry.

Last year Nigel launched a video named GO!, in which he gave his fans a true, up close and personal experience of what riding his BMX bike is really like in his hometown New York. The video went so viral, that Sylvester shot another video within months, this time in Los Angeles and then released the Go! 2. Having seen that both the editions trend as one of the best BMX videos ever created, the New Yorker travelled far east to Tokyo in Japan, to share his experience with strangers. This week he released GO!3, the recent video has completely taken the Internet by storm.
